Tool Revitalization

Manufacturing tools are becoming obsolete not because the process they perform is outdated or no longer needed, but simply because the control system is both proprietary and no longer supported.  NAVIGIST|group, along with our electrical and mechanical engineering partners, can give an existing tool new life by replacing the old control system with a new OTS (Off The Shelf) control system. 

With a new and open platform control system in place, the company now has the flexibility to:

• Add additional features and functionality
• Modified processes once not supported by the old control system
• Replace outdated and unsupported parts such as pumps, flow controllers, temperature controllers, and robots with new OTS ones.
• Customize and modernize the HMI (Human-Machine Interface)  Note: GUI-based HMIs can be copied exact thereby reducing and/or eliminating the need to completely retrain tool operators.
• Reduce elongated down time
• Increase production yield
